Important Notes :
Both Android and Linux require USB selective suspend/resume and wakeup option to be selected during kernel compile for F5521. If this option is not enabled, Mobile Broadband Module will not go to selective suspend to save power. Power will result in additional ~50ma at idle instead of <~5ma.
PDP context is not retained if USB selective suspend is not enabled.
2011-March-03 Ericsson Mobile Broadband Module support is already integrated into Ubuntu kernel.
Tested prebuilt binary with the Ericsson F5521gw Mobile Broadband Module on the original pandaboard.
Binary : ubuntu-netbook-10.10-preinstalled-netbook-armel+omap4.img using external USB port and usb to minicard cradle. http://www.omappedia.org/wiki/Ubuntu_Pre-Built_Binaries

USB Mini cradle USBMV-D by BPlus BPlus
Note about above BPlus module cradle. This cradle utilizes a large super capacitor to maintain wireless modules through several use modes such as GPRS burst that can require more energy to operate. When the module cradle has been removed from the USB connector it will take 5 to 10 minutes to dissipate the voltage on cradle to allow the Ericsson module to reset. BPlus offers other cradles that do not have the super capacitor and provide an open drain to quickly disipate energy.----
