This page covers getting Android running on PandaBoard. At this there there are a few projects that support Android on PandaBoard. We will take a look at each of the project and will provide a recommended place to start.

Below list the projects that support Android on Pandaboard. For most community/development purposes it's recommended to either use the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) or the Linaro's Android LEB. Other projects have been listed for completeness and are not recommended to be used unless you know what you are doing.

Linaro Android LEB |

Linaro is a non-profit engineering company that enables software consolidation, provides ARM tools, Linux kernels, as well as builds for various linux distributions. As a part of Linaro's work they are providing Android LEB (Linaro Eval Builds). Linaro's Android LEB currently supports both PandaBoard & PandaBoard ES platforms. |

Pandroid (retired) |

is a project to port android on Pandaboard. The project is now retired and development efforts are now consolidate with other community projects. The last release of the project supported PandaBoard platform and Android Gingerbread. Since the project is now retired there is no plan to support PandaBoard ES or Android 4.0 (ICS) |
