[edit] PandaBoard Revision History:
PandaBoard Revision ID:
The Panda Board provides a three-bit board revision that may be read by Software to determine what board is being used. These board ID bits are provided by GPIO_171 (BOARD_ID2), GPIO_101 (BOARD_ID1), and GPIO_182 (BOARD_ID0).
Note: GPIO2 & GPIO3 (used in PandaBoard ES) are unused on a PandaBoard and if read will return back "1"

[edit] Rev EA1
PandaBoards that will be used for the "early adopter" program will be Rev EA1:
- Model #: PandaBoard Rev EA1 (This label will be printed on the back of the board)
[edit] Rev EA2
PandaBoards that will be distributed internally and to a few early adopters without the LSR connectivity module populated will be Rev EA2:
- Model #: PandaBoard Rev EA2 (This label will be printed on the back of the board)
[edit] Rev EA3
PandaBoards that will be distributed internally and to a few early adopters with the LSR connectivity module populated will be Rev EA3:
- Model #: PandaBoard Rev EA3 (This label will be printed on the back of the board)
[edit] Rev A1
Production versions of PandaBoards will contain the below model number:
- Model #: PandaBoard Rev A1 (This label will be printed on the back of the board)
Rev A1 is the same as EA1 except it has:
OMAP4430 ES2.1 silicon
Changes to overvoltage protection circuitry which include:
* Lowered input voltage trip threshold (increased R164)
* Changed pull-up voltage on FET T1 gate(s) (adjusted values of R167/R168)
* Changed enable of U15 to be GPIO controlled (GPIO_1)
* Changed pull-up voltage to U17 ON/OFF pin (decreased R154)
* Changed resistor values & capacitor installation on U15/U17 to adjust switch timing
* Adjusted LED current limiting resistor value slightly (R165) go to higher rated part
Change VDDA_DSI1 and VDDA_DSI2 connections (from ground to VDD_VCXIO) In association, added decoupling cap at C217 near these balls
Change VDDA_CSI22 connection (from ground to VDD_VCXIO)
Moved User LED power from DC_5V to VBAT and adjusted current limiting resistors accordingly
[edit] Rev A2
Production versions of PandaBoards will contain the below model number:
- Model #: PandaBoard Rev A2 (This label will be printed on the back of the board)
Rev A2 is the same as A1 except it has:
the new LSR TiWi-R2 connectivity module populated (Rev A1 of PandaBoard contained the LSR TiWi-R1 module and the footprint of the module has changed in TiWi-R2 to improve manufacturability. See the footprint migration document for more details.)
